I love cobblestones, but it's tough to walk on them in heels.

This picture is an old road in New York City, but at first glance it reminds me of Lyon, France. This type of road adds so much texture and it's permeable. Cement is cheaper and faster but not an improvement. Maybe if cement hadn't been invented, the world would be more eco-friendly and beautiful. But I don't know if that's true. I would have to read about it.
